KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — Police have classified the death of a man in his mid-20s whose body was discovered outside a food stall in Cheras as a sudden death.

According to The Star, the man was found unconscious at Flat Sri Melaka on Jalan Ikan Emas today, according to Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Rosdi Daud.

“Preliminary investigations found no elements of crime at the scene,” he said in a statement today.

An assistant medical officer from Kuala Lumpur Hospital pronounced the man dead at the scene, Mohd Rosdi added.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division, the Salak Selatan police station and the police forensic team were sent to the location promptly, he said.

The cause of death has yet to be established and will require confirmation through a post-mortem.

The body was taken to the forensic unit at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz in Cheras for further action.
