R. Ashwin and Vijay Shankar both found some form, but it proved insufficient as Dublin Guardians suffered its fourth loss in as many games against Rotterdamn Dockers in the ongoing European T20 League 2026 at Sportpark Westvliet in The Hague.
Returning to the side, Shankar put the finishing touches on an innings set up by James Vince’s unbeaten 95 with a punchy cameo of 26 not out from 13 balls (with one four and two sixes) as the Guardians pushed itself to 178 for four in its 20 overs.
He then took the new ball, and delivered the first over at the expense of just three runs. His second over was less successful, going for 18 runs, but he took a catch to dismiss Michael Levitt off the bowling of Josh Little.

Captain Ashwin, meanwhile, was frugal in spell of one of 21 in four overs. He accounted for Faf du Plessis leg-before, but not before the veteran South African had left the Dockers will placed for victory with 79 from 51 balls.
The side — which is owned by Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid and coached by former national team batting coach Vikram Rathour — remains rooted to the bottom of the table, while the Dockers are top of the table.
