PlayStation Plus Users Officially Have Until October 6 To Claim 4 Free Games

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

With the next batch of PlayStation Plus titles expected to go live on 6 October, you have only 24 hours to claim some previous additions. Ranging from a 2025 tactical shooter to a story-driven JRPG, there is something for everyone, and even if you do not yet want to play them, adding them to your library will ensure that you will have them available when the mood strikes you. Not only that, but following the removal of these games, three new titles are expected to join the service.

Character Aiming And Looking Into Their Rifle In Sniper Elite Resistance.

Set to leave the PlayStation Plus library at 08:00AM UTC on 6 October are:

  • Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5/PS4)
  • MLB the Show 26 (PS5)
  • Wobbly Life (PS5/PS4)
  • Chained Echoes (PS4)

Sniper Elite: Resistance is a 2025 third-person tactical shooter and just another installment in the long-running Sniper Elite franchise. In this entry, players can expect "unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical combat" with the story turning to a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of an occupied France. Despite receiving somewhat mixed reviews at launch, Sniper Elite: Resistance still boasts a relatively positive review score a year on.

As for MLB the Show 26, the latest installment in the baseball video game series welcomes brand-new legends to the fray in the most immersive experience yet. As the official synopsis reads, "Discover improved Road To The Show mechanics, deeper Franchise experiences, thrilling Diamond Dynasty modes, enhanced customization options and true-to-life on-field action."

Wobbly Life is a vibrant, open-world physics sandbox experience to be played with friends online or in local co-op. With exciting jobs, mini-games, and wild story missions, you will be able to cause a whole lot of chaos and use your cash on clothes, vehicles, and houses. GTA VI, who?

Last, but by no means least, is Chained Echoes, a story-driven JRPG which tells the story of a group of heroes who must bring an end to the war between the three kingdoms of Valandis. In this 16-bit style RPG, players can expect an epic RPG set in a world "where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits."

As mentioned, these four titles are expected to leave the PlayStation Plus service in less than 24 hours. However, that means that they will make way for brand-new additions, including:

  • EA Sports F1 25 (PS5)
  • Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)
  • Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5/PS4)

Featuring a racing title, an epic first-person extraction shooter, and a charming third-person shooter, the new additions feature something for everybody.

It is also worth mentioning that once it has left the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games Line-Up, Sniper Elite: Resistance will be added to the standard Game Catalog, so although it will only be available at its full price, it will still be accessible for those who missed out.
