The court initially issued a temporary restraining order against Wage Order No. NCR-27 after two construction companies questioned its implementation. It subsequently released a writ of preliminary injunction, keeping the wage increase on hold.

The wage order provides for a P85 increase in the daily minimum wage in Metro Manila, to be implemented in two tranches.

The first P60 increase was supposed to take effect on July 25, followed by another P25 on Jan. 20, 2027.

Tolentino also attended a Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) orientation at Embarcadero in Legazpi with Ako Bicol Party List Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. and Mayor Hisham Ismail.
