Kaitlin Olson & ‘High Potential’ Co-Stars Pay Respects To Matthew Lamb After Mother’s Death: “Forever Her Pride & Joy”

Kaitlan Olson and the cast of High Potential have recently come together to support co-star Matthew Lamb following the death of his mother.
After the 14-year-old actor, who plays Morgan’s (Olson) son Elliot on the ABC crime procedural, announced this week in a heartfelt statement that his mother Meredith died, his co-stars paid their respects in the comments section.
“I’m not quite sure how to write this,” he prefaced in the post. “As I’m sure many of you know, my mama passed away this Saturday. She was everything to me. She taught me school, she taught me empathy, she did everything for our family. She always had the biggest smile and she gave the best hugs. Truly the most selfless person I know.”
Lamb continued, “It still doesn’t feel real. I’m not sure it ever will. She loved and supported everyone authentically. I’m not sure how we’re going to get through this, but we’re going to try. Every day I’m going to miss telling her about my day, and talking to her and watching our favorite shows. This isn’t something I ever thought I would have to do. There’s so much she is going to miss in my life, but I’m grateful for the things she was able to experience. I love you, Mama.”
Olson, who plays an LAPD consultant with an impressively high IQ, was one of several cast members to send their love, sharing memories of Lamb’s mother.
“Your mama was such a gift, Matthew,” she commented. “She simply overflowed with joy and kindness…and the way she lit up when she looked at you…. that can’t ever be taken away. You are forever her pride and joy. I am here for you forever.”
Lamb’s onscreen sister Amirah J, who plays Ava, wrote, “Sending you so much love.”
Judy Reyes, who plays Lt. Selena Soto, wrote, “We saw where you got your shine! I’m so so sorry.”
“The brightest light always!!!! I’m so so sorry Matthew,” wrote Javicia Leslie, who plays Detective Daphne Forrester, while Detective Lev “Oz” Özdil actor Deniz Akdeniz commented, “Love you mate.”
Lamb will reunite with his co-stars in Season 3 of High Potential, which is expected to premiere on ABC in January.
