The Multimedia Group has topped nominations for the 30th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards, securing nine nominations across its subsidiaries ahead of the awards ceremony on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The nominations, announced on Monday, November 2, at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra, recognise outstanding journalistic works produced in 2025.

The media conglomerate has nominated seven journalists and two flagship programmes for honours in various categories.

The nominees are:

  1. Clinton Yeboah – JoyNews
  2. Nathaniel Attoh – Joy Sports
  3. Emmanuel Dzivenu – JoyNews
  4. Emmanuel Bright Quaicoe – JoyNews
  5. Philip Osei Bonsu – Asempa FM
  6. Nana Boakye Yiadom – JoyNews
  7. Jemima Andoh – JoyNews
  8. Badwam – Adom TV's morning show
  9. Ekosiisen – Asempa FM's afternoon political and current affairs talk show

The nine nominations place The Multimedia Group at the top of the nominations list for this year's awards.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to grace the occasion as Special Guest of Honour, alongside the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the GJA's Patron.

The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, will chair the ceremony.

This year's awards will be held under the theme, "Celebrating Excellence, Advancing Media Freedom and Combating Hate Speech in the Digital Age."

According to the GJA, 327 entries were received from 206 journalists, with the nine-member Awards Committee, chaired by former Daily Graphic Editor Kobby Asmah, reviewing 326 entries across the various categories.

GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour says the 30th anniversary edition will celebrate journalists and media organisations whose work has contributed to Ghana's democratic governance, national development and public accountability.

The ceremony will recognise outstanding journalism across television, radio, print, online and digital media, with the prestigious P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year Award among the major honours to be presented.
