Beginning its life as a South Korean fantasy web novel written by Chugong, Solo Leveling has quickly become a worldwide pheomenon, thanks to the success of its anime television series adaptation which aired back in 2024.
Since then, the Solo Leveling franchise has continued to grow. Not only can fans expect a Korean drama adaptation which is currently in development, but an RPG titled Solo Leveling: Arise launched back in 2025, and with a 'Mostly Positive' rating on Steam, it seems as though it is one of the more successful anime-inspired RPGs on the market.
Fans Can Look Forward To The Next Major Released
With over 14.3 billion views on the original Solo Leveling webtoon, it is safe to say that it has a dedicated fanbase, and they might be pleased to hear about a brand-new launch which arrives later this year.
Solo Leveling: Karma is an upcoming roguelite action-RPG developed by Netmarble and is set to launch later this year on PC and mobile. Featuring an untold and original story from the franchise set in the Dimensional Gap, players will join Sung Jinwoo and his grueling 27-year war against the Monarchs.
"Though he emerged victorious in the battle against the Monarchs who sought to conquer Earth, Sung Jinwoo lost many people he cared about. Using the Cup of Reincarnation, he turned back time to a point before the gates ever appeared. As Jinwoo continues his war against the Monarchs within the dimensional gap, the mysterious Messengers of the Itarim and their creator appear before him. To protect the dimensional gap, the Messengers of the Itarim form a pact with Sung Jinwoo and lend him their power. Armed with newfound powers, Jinwoo cuts through the endless Denizens of Chaos. But as he presses forward, he comes face to face with an unexpected enemy..."
More Information To Be Unveiled Soon
Although we do not yet have an official release date for Solo Leveling: Karma, we can expect it to take center stage at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show which takes place on 17 September. It is here that fans can expect a brand-new trailer, a look at some in-game content, and of course, that all-important release date.
Featuring some iconic characters such as Sung Jinwoo, Cha Hae-In, Go Gunhee, Choi Jong-In, and more, Solo Leveling: Karma is shaping up to be the ultimate video game experience for fans of the original webtoon and dedicated anime, so we can only hope that it launches sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, fans can also look forward to an all-new theatrical film titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, the next major entry in the Solo Leveling franchise. Expected to arrive some time next year after being announced back in July, we still await an official release date from Crunchyroll.
