Indian table tennis contingent bagged four medals on Day 4 of the Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Tuesday.

Bhavina Patel, Sonalben Patel, Baby Sahana Ravi, and Prachi Pandey won a bronze medal each after falling short in their semifinals.

Bhavina lost to China’s Zhang Bian 0-3 (7-11, 5-11, 7-11) in Class 4-5 to win her second Asian Para Games individual medal. She had won bronze in Hangzhou 2022 as well, in Class 4.

Sonalben lost to South Korea’s Yoon Jiyu 0-3 (7-11, 5-11, 6-11) to bag a bronze in the Class 3 category.

Baby Sahana created history by winning India’s first-ever medal in the standing category at the Asian Para Games. She lost to China’s Mao Jingdian 0-3 (8-11, 2-11, 4-11) in Class 9.

In Class 6, Prachi lost to Iraq’s Najlah Al-Dayyeni 0-3 (9-11, 2-11, 8-11).

With these medals, India’s paddlers have already surpassed the haul of two bronze from the previous edition held three years ago.
