Slide Insurance (SLDE) on Monday announced an expansion into Texas and Rhode Island.

In Texas, the insurer is launching an HO3 homeowners insurance product, and in Rhode Island, a DP3 dwelling insurance product for eligible rental and seasonal properties.

"Texas represents one of the largest homeowners insurance markets in the United States, while Rhode Island establishes a foothold for further expansion across the Northeast," said CEO Bruce Lucas.

Shares were 0.53% higher at $28.70 during pre-market trading.

The new market entries follow expanded product offerings in Florida, South Carolina, and California.
