Things are going from bad to worse for Marseille. The French side suffered their second defeat in as many Europa League matches, losing 1-0 to Olympiakos. Lyon, meanwhile, are heading in the opposite direction, having secured a win over Premier League side Crystal Palace. Rennes, for their part, claimed their first Europa League victory of the season with a narrow 2-1 win over OFI Crete.

In the other results from Thursday, Randal Kolo Muani snatched victory for Juventus with a stoppage-time goal, while AC Milan cruised to a 4-0 win over Salzburg.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino apologised to the FIFA Council following his controversial, now-abandoned proposal to open the World Cup to private investors.
