Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Trade Minister Budi Santoso met with a business delegation from India to discuss opportunities for exporting Indonesian manufactured products to India.

During the meeting held at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 at ICE BSD in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday (October 15), Santoso explained exports of various manufactured products have considerable potential.

Therefore, synergy between business actors and the government is needed.

"Synergy between the business world and the government needs to be strengthened, so that Indonesian products can increasingly penetrate India, one of which is through fulfilling the certification required by Indian authorities," he said in a statement here on Friday.

Santoso noted one effort to enhance trade relations between Indonesia and India is by strengthening trade commitments. He therefore sees a need to continue exploring beneficial bilateral trade negotiations to address trade barriers.

"Increasing trade commitments between the two countries can support wider market access for Indonesian products," he stated.
