The 2026 Grand Slam season concluded on Sunday with Alexander Zverev beating Ben Shelton in the final in New York to clinch his maiden US Open title.

The four Majors - Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open - are the biggest tournaments in the tennis calendar. Every professional player dreams of winning at least one Major in his or her career at some stage.

This year, Carlos Alcaraz completed the Career Grand Slam (winning all four Majors at least once) with his victory over Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final. In the women’s summit clash in Melbourne, Elena Rybakina defeated former champion and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

At Roland Garros in Paris, Mirra Andreeva and Zverev both won the first Majors of their careers.

At Wimbledon, yet another new women’s champion emerged in Linda Noskova while World No. 1 Jannik Sinner defended the men’s singles title successfully.

At Flushing Meadows, Zverev took the men’s crown for his second Major of the year while Rybakina defeated Sabalenka for first US Open title and also became the new World No. 1.
