There will be also security deployment outside of Metro Manila as the country gears up to welcome global leaders for the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits on November 16 to 18, the organizing council said on Sunday.
Retired Major General Potenciano Camba, ASEAN National Organizing Council deputy director general for operations, said some guests could arrive in Clark, Pampanga and Subic, Zambales.
"We have a very significant security deployment all over Metro Manila and outside Metro Manila.

Moreover, the organizing council said that it has monitored possible protests during the summit.

As part of security measures, there will be exclusion zones at the Philippine International Convention Center — the venue for the international event — where entry is subject to screening.
