‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega was happy to make two big announcements about his personal life. The actor, who has kept his private life out of the spotlight, revealed that he is in fact married and is going to be a dad soon.

In an interview with The Guardian, the 43-year-old actor who was reflecting on the tragic loss of his childhood friend, also opened up about his personal milestones ahead of the release of the documentary ‘Damilola: The Untold Story’.Revealing that he had quietly tied the knot, Boyega said he had been married for “coming up two years now”. He also shared, “We got a baby cooking,” adding that they were preparing to welcome a son.“My life is completely, completely fulfilled in terms of family. It’s been so nice with the timing,” he said.

Boyega has not publicly identified his wife. However, he and Lashontae Heckard have sparked speculation about their relationship in recent months. The two reportedly follow only each other on Instagram, while Heckard’s bio reads, “Tae Boyega”.

Boyega also revealed that he has two sets of wedding rings. One is a two-toned band with sentimental value.

He said, “This is the one we decided to pick up spontaneously because I just wanted the ring on my finger, so we went to Walmart to get this.”While the couple did not have a traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony, Boyega said he would “love” to celebrate their marriage properly in the future. “We both like the idea of celebrating something established, rather than celebrating the entry,” he explained. “And by then, we’ll have to shut Nigeria down!”Reflecting on impending fatherhood, he admitted that thinking of himself as a parent had been “funny”. He said his priority was to ensure that he remained present and consistent while raising his child.
