SOLD OUT: MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Sundowns

Translate

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that tickets for the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are sold out.

Pirates will take on Sundowns in what will be a repeat of the 2023 MTN8 final which was also played at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kick-off on Saturday, 10 October is at 18:00.

As reported by The South African, this will be the 11th MTN8 final hosted at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

And according to eThekwini Municipality City Manager Musa Mbhele, there are no bribes involved in terms of who hosts the finals.

Now, Sundowns are aiming to eliminate the memories of 2023 in what will be only their third MTN8 final at the venue.

In the last two finals, they won one (against Cape Town City in 2021) and lost one (against Orlando Pirates in 2023).

Sundowns were involved in a penalty shout-out in both finals while Pirates won three of their seven MTN8 finals at Moses Mabhida Stadium in 90 minutes.
