Sushma Verma added to Trinbago Knight Riders squad after Yastika Bhatia leaves for India A — reports

Sushma Verma was added to the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) squad in the ongoing Women’s Caribbean Premier League after Yastika Bhatia had to leave midway for India A duty starting September 20, according to reports.

Bhatia has been made captain of India A for three One Dayers against Australia A in Mohali followed by a four-day game in Dharamsala.

TKR has already qualified for the final set to be played on September 17 in Bridgetown.

Verma will be the sixth Indian player to be part of WPL 2026 including Bhatia, Shikha Pandey (TKR), Kiran Navgire, Pooja Vastrakar, and Harleen Deol (all Barbados Tridents).

Verma hasn’t been part of the Indian squad since 2023 and has only played one season of WPL, also in 2023 with Gujarat Giants.
