Channel 4 has announced an exciting new drama starring The Bay's Claire Goose. The six part series Complicit is a compelling murder mystery that "peers into the shadows of a suburban neighbourhood and the hidden lives of its residents", according to the synopsis.

Alongside Goose, Complicit also stars House Of Guinness' Moe Dunford, and The Lincoln Lawyer's Jason O’Mara. The series was written and created by Caroline Carver, who worked on The Bay and Grace.

Goose stars as Jen Molloy, a married woman who has a night of passion with another man, leading to devastating consequences.

The synopsis adds: "When a death follows, one split-second lie threatens to destroy everything she holds dear. If protecting your family meant allowing a killer to walk free… what choice would you make?

"Complicit explores the terrifying ripples of a single untruth and the contradictions of how far we will go to protect everything we love whilst fighting an insatiable pull towards something more dangerous. Secrets are only secrets if they stay hidden…"

The show's creator Caroline Carver said in a press release: "It has been incredibly exciting to see Complicit come to life in such a breathtaking way. The phenomenal Claire Goose stars, alongside an exceptional cast, in this seductive thriller which delves into the shattering repercussions of acting on your most hidden desires.

"I am forever grateful to the mighty Tall Story Pictures, Channel 4 and Virgin Media for their unwavering support, vision and brilliance, and I can’t wait to share it with audiences."

"We are excited to be partnering with ITV Studios, Tall Story Pictures and Virgin Ireland to bring this project to life."

Catherine Oldfield, Creative Director of Tall Story Pictures, also gave us an intriguing tease, as she described Complicit as a "deliciously twisty and sexy thriller".

Channel 4 is yet to announce an air date for Complicit.
