Psyren release schedule: When are new episodes out on Crunchyroll?

The Psyren release schedule comes after fans have been waiting years for this iconic shonen manga to be adapted.

It has been nearly 16 years since the final chapter was published, and we’re finally getting the anime adaptation we’ve been craving.

Perhaps because of its relatively short run from 2007 to 2010, we’ve never had a Psyren anime adaptation.

Fans had long assumed it would never happen until it was officially announced in late 2025.

What time are new episodes of Psyren released?

New episodes of Psyren will be released at 11:00pm on Mondays in Japan, according to the Tokyo MX listings.

Crunchyroll has confirmed that episodes will arrive on their streaming site at 7:30am PST, which means they’ll air shortly after the episode finishes airing on Japanese TV.

For fans in other time zones, here is when new Psyren episodes will air:

• Pacific Time - 7:30am on Monday
• Eastern Time - 10:30am on Monday
• UK Time - 3:30pm on Monday
• Central European Summer Time - 4:30pm on Monday
• India Standard Time - 8:00pm on Monday
• Philippine Time - 10:30pm on Monday

We don’t expect there to be any delays in the Psyren release schedule, but we’ll keep you informed if anything unexpected happens.

The Psyren release schedule kicks off with episode 1 on Monday 5 October 2026. After this, new episodes should air every week fairly regularly. We don’t currently know how many episodes the first season of the show will have. We expect it to have at least 12 episodes and run through the end of the Fall 2026 anime season.

The upcoming Psyren release schedule is:

• Psyren episode 1 release date - Monday 5 October 2026
• Psyren episode 2 release date - Monday 12 October 2026
• Psyren episode 3 release date - Monday 19 October 2026
• Psyren episode 4 release date - Monday 26 October 2026
• Psyren episode 5 release date - Monday 2 November 2026
• Psyren episode 6 release date - Monday 9 November 2026
• Psyren episode 7 release date - Monday 16 November 2026
• Psyren episode 8 release date - Monday 23 November 2026
• Psyren episode 9 release date - Monday 30 November 2026
• Psyren episode 10 release date - Monday 7 December 2026
• Psyren episode 11 release date - Monday 14 December 2026
• Psyren episode 12 release date - Monday 21 December 2026

As always, sometimes episodes get delayed for unforeseen reasons, so we’ll check back regularly to make sure this information is up to date.

Where can I watch Psyren?

The Psyren anime will be streamed outside Japan on Crunchyroll. They’ve stated that the subtitled version of the first episode will air after it airs in Japan and that an English dub is coming in the following weeks.

We don’t know exactly how long a delay it will be to get the Psyren dub, but it is usually 2-3 weeks after the Japanese version airs.

Why was Psyren cancelled?

The most commonly stated reason why the Psyren manga was abruptly ended in 2010 is a declining readership in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series was a supernatural action anime that feels similar to Bleach in many ways, but has more grounded stakes, so it is possible that it didn’t meet fans’ expectations at the time.

Although it has reportedly gone on to sell more than 4 million copies and achieved cult status in the years since its cancellation, Psyren didn’t have enough of a following at the time to survive.
