Champions League: Inter vs. Shakhtar Donetsk – probable line-ups, where to watch on TV

Ange-Yoan Bonny is expected to partner with Marcus Thuram in the Inter attack as the Nerazzurri look for their first win in the Champions League this season, against Shakhtar Donetsk.

It kicks off at 21:00 CET [20:00 GMT], right after Como vs. Manchester United.

Defending Serie A champions Inter have lost two Champions League games from two this season and, including last season, they’ve lost seven of their last eight games in the competition.

England internationals John Stones and Curtis Jones are injured, while Djed Spence is expected to start on the bench as he’s still not fit to start.

Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard are also unavailable for the Nerazzurri.

According to several Italian sources, including Gazzetta and Sky, Bonny is expected to lead the Inter attack alongside Thuram. The Nerazzurri have some doubts in midfield and defence.

Carlos Augusto will likely start as a left defender in a three-man back line, which would push Yann Bisseck to the bench. However, if Carlos Augusto starts at left midfield, Bisseck will start, and Dimarco will be on the bench.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the favourite over Piotr Zielinski for a starting spot in central midfield alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella.
