Trump says he has the right to seek a third presidential term

Translate

US President Donald Trump has again suggested he could seek a third term in 2028, despite the US Constitution limiting presidents to two elected terms.

Speaking at a rally in Iowa, Trump acknowledged that the law leaves little room for interpretation but argued he should be allowed to run again because, he claimed, the 2020 election was rigged. He said he had studied the constitutional wording for a long time, but insisted that the election had been stolen from him.

His allegations of widespread voter fraud in the election have not been substantiated.
