Coronation Street airs cheating fears for Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey secret exposure in early ITVX release

Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is convinced that husband Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) is hiding something from her in Coronation Street – and she's right.

Earlier this week, with her memory worsening as a result of her young-onset dementia diagnosis, Debbie was spotted trying to place a fork into the toaster to obtain her food. Ronnie rushed over, warning her of the dangers, and she flipped out.

Debbie assured him that she knew what she was doing, and stormed out.

Later, an exhausted Ronnie chatted with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), who suggested he attend a dementia support group. The session seemed to go well, but he urged step-son Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) to keep quiet and not tell his mother.

Unfortunately, Debbie already had an inkling. She'd found a discarded flyer for a care home in the bin, and became convinced that this, combined with Ronnie's recent absences, meant he was having an affair and planned to ship her off to live elsewhere.

She addressed her concerns to sister-in-law Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine), who remained adamant that he would never be unfaithful.

However, in today's episode, she wondered whether there might be some truth to Debbie's concerns. Ronnie told his wife that he was off to a meeting, and when he left their Victoria Street flat, she called Abi to ask whether she could keep a close eye on him.

After walking out of the Weatherfield Sainsbury's branch, Abi spotted him with his arms around another woman, hugging her tightly. She quickly snapped a photo and then confronted Ronnie, who was quick to assert that the woman was just a friend in need of support.

Their argument continued in the garage, when Abi threatened to expose his 'affair'. Ronnie finally came clean about the dementia support group, though when Debbie approached, explained that he didn't want her to know that he was struggling.

Debbie looked at Abi's shocked expression, believing that this was confirmation of her fears.

Will Ronnie come clean?
