In addition to tearing up the stage with their irresistible jam “DDI RO RI” from this year’s BITE NOW, MEOVV sat down with Billboard backstage at Kai Tak Stadium to talk with the girl group formed by The Black Label in 2024.

“We’re ‘It Girls’ but sometimes we do feel insecure, we do feel not confident,” admits Narin when asked how the group manages to project so much strength and confidence onstage. “But whenever we really listen to our music or perform on stage we really feel powerful and strong. We really do believe music has so much power that it can help you gaslight yourself,” she says with a laugh. “That you’re so strong whenever you feel not strong.” Her bandmates nodded along, adding in, “Fake it ‘til you make it.”

When asked who among the five-member group is the most serious and who is the silliest while recording in the studio, Ella replied, “This is a good question. I feel like Anna is the most serious but sometimes she’ll say really funny things that are random. I think the most silly… maybe me and Sooin,” she concluded. “She’s just randomly in the corner doing whatever it is she does,” laughed Gawon. “We like to have fun,” Ella said.
