Exclusive: Emmerdale confirms Belle and Kammy crisis as Tom returns

Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has revealed that Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq's romance will be tested as evil Tom King makes a shocking return to our screens this autumn.
Belle is currently in a great place with her new boyfriend, but her fresh start will come under threat as Tom looms large over her future.

Show bosses have announced plans for James Chase to reprise his role as Tom in upcoming episodes.
When it's revealed that Tom is being put up for parole, Belle and her family realise that they might have a fight on their hands to keep him away.
Speaking exclusively to Inside Soap, Emmerdale's producer Sophie Roper revealed: "The ramifications for Belle are going to be absolutely massive. All of the trauma that she went through is going to resurface. She's now in a relationship with Kammy and this is really going to test them as a couple.
"Kammy wasn't in the show when Tom was around last time, so it'll be really difficult for him to understand what Belle went through. That'll put a huge pressure on their relationship."
While Kammy may face his challenges as he tries to show support, the Dingles will make sure to remain right by Belle's side.

Roper added: "The Dingles are united and a force to be reckoned with, but can they keep the threat of Tom at bay?"
Tom's return to Emmerdale was announced last month. In December 2024, he was found guilty of assault and coercive behaviour after abusing Belle for over a year.
His most recent on-screen appearance was in February 2025, when Belle paid him a visit in prison.

James recently said: "Stepping back into Tom's shoes is a responsibility I don't take lightly. He is a character driven by obsession and a desperate need for control, and it is both fascinating and challenging to step back into that mindset.
"The audience knows exactly who he is and what he is capable of, so the challenge now is to show the lengths he is willing to go to in order to get what he wants, even if it means dismantling Belle's life all over again. It’s a dark path, and I'm ready to see how far Tom will push it."
