Charles Barkley is planning his own farewell, and he made one thing clear on the radio: it will not look like Aaron Rodgers'. The Inside the NBA analyst, 63, took a swipe at the 42-year-old Steelers quarterback during a guest spot on Adam Schein's Mad Dog Sports Radio show on Wednesday, Oct. 21. His target was how Rodgers has talked about former partners while reportedly heading toward retirement.

Charles Barkley has said he will retire from TV at the end of this year. He wants no part of the way Aaron Rodgers is handling his own goodbye. "But I tell you what though, I'm not gonna bury everybody going out the door like Aaron," Barkley said. "I'm not gonna burn every bridge and talk bad about all my exes on my way out the door like he's doing."

Rodgers is widely believed to be done after 22 seasons. His own words from last month are what drew Barkley's attention. He spoke about his broken engagement to actress Shailene Woodley on teammate Cam Heyward's podcast, Not Just Football.

What Aaron Rodgers said about Shailene Woodley

Aaron Rodgers gave a blunt account of how the engagement fell apart. "I date Shailene, I propose and she says yes," Rodgers said at the time. "She maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision, she could have said no. But not a couple of days after that, she tells me before we get married like, 'I got to go f--- this guy.' "

He then disputed Woodley's version of events. "'Cause her story is, I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her, but in actuality she told me that and took off the ring by March. I proposed in December, took off the ring by March, and we had a couple of times when we tried to get reunited and nothing ever happened, and there wasn't even a relationship in '22 to break off. She literally told me 'I don't want to be with you.' "

As for Rodgers he is now married to a woman named Brittani.

Barkley's own exit has its share of questions. Last month on The Bill Simmons Podcast, he said the coming season would be Ernie Johnson's last as host of Inside the NBA. "Me and Ernie are a package deal," Barkley said at the time. On Wednesday, that package, plus Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith, reunited for a new season of the show.
