Nigerian firm launches dual platforms to transform healthcare, transportation sectors

In a move to address two of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges, HoneyTreat Global Services Limited has unveiled groundbreaking digital platforms designed to revolutionise healthcare delivery and transportation safety across the nation.

The official launch of QwikCare and Sur-DriveHT, held in Ikeja, Lagos, with the theme: ‘Beyond The Challenges, Technology leads The Way’, drew industry stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and technology enthusiasts who witnessed the unveiling of solutions aimed at bridging critical gaps in Nigeria’s healthcare and mobility sectors.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of HoneyTreat Global Services Limited, Mr Samson Soyebi, painted a sobering picture of Nigeria’s current realities while offering a glimpse of hope through technological innovation.

“Nigeria is a nation of extraordinary potential. We are blessed with potential, resilience, talent and innovation. Yet we also live with challenges that affect millions of lives every single day,” Soyebi declared. He highlighted the dire state of healthcare delivery, noting that “majority of patients still wait hours and sometimes days for care that should be within reach.”

The CEO lamented the country’s stretched doctor-to-patient ratios and limited hospital resources, describing the gap between people’s needs and access to quality healthcare as “still very wide.”

“That reality inspired the creation of QwikCare,” he explained, emphasising that the platform exists “to bring healthcare closer, faster and with greater dignity.”

Project Director Mojeed Oladuntoye provided deeper insights into the platform’s capabilities, revealing that users can consult doctors, upload prescriptions, make payments, and even arrange doorstep delivery of medications-all within a single application.

“The number one thing we did as a product or brand is to make sure everybody is safe. Our data protection policy is top notch.”

Dr Bolade Adeniyi, a public health physician with the Lagos State Health Service Commission, endorsed the platform’s potential to transform emergency response and general healthcare access.

“This platform gives you access within 5-10 minutes, whether at work or home. It reduces delays and confusion in emergencies by helping patients locate nearby hospitals and specialists quickly,” Dr Adeniyi explained.

She further highlighted the importance of proper documentation in healthcare delivery, noting that the platform would enhance accountability in medical practice. “There will always be a record of what has been done. The doctor cannot deceive you, and you cannot claim the doctor has not done well,” she added.

Addressing the nation’s mobility challenges, Soyebi introduced Sur-Drive as a comprehensive solution to transportation woes that have plagued Nigerian roads for decades. “Our roads carry nearly all our movement and most of our frustration. Congestion steals productive hours. Accidents steal lives. Inefficiency steals opportunity,” he lamented.

Sur-Drive is designed to make transportation “safer, smarter, and more efficient for riders, drivers, and the businesses and fleet owners that depend on them.” The platform connects people, businesses, and fleet operators through technology designed to make movement simpler and more reliable.
