SEC crowd greets Trump with massive cheers ahead of Tennessee-Texas showdown

President Trump arrives at Neyland Stadium in spectacular fashion for today matchup between Tennessee and Texas.

Donald Trump has arrived in Tennessee for the biggest college football game of the day, and — to the surprise of approximately nobody — the Neyland Stadium crowd went nuts as Air Force I flew over the stadium.

The president arrived in Knoxville about 40 minutes before kickoff of today's marquee showdown between the Vols and No. 1 Texas. It's the first meeting between the two schools since the Cotton Bowl in 1969. Tennessee comes in ranked 14th in the country, while the Longhorns are No. 1 and two weeks removed from an upset of Ohio State.

That was in Austin, though. Today's game is in Knoxville, with the eyes of everyone — including the president — on them.

Obviously, it's a very pro-Trump crowd for today's ... SEC ... showdown. Who would've thunk it?! Forget the approval ratings. If Trump goes to an SEC game, he's gonna be cheered. Heavily.

Oddly enough, the only place he may have been met with some boos would've been Austin. Look at what the College GameDay crowd did to Ted Cruz two weeks ago.

It was brutal.

But Knoxville is different. Tennessee is a different animal. Fans were told to get to the stadium hours before today's noon kickoff due to heightened security, and they listened.

All drinks, including beer, which half-price between 9 a.m and 10 a.m. That's right. You read that right. Half-price beer at 9 a.m., for a college football game at noon? What could go wrong!
