Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians in Yemen have been advised to remain vigilant, prioritise personal safety and limit non-essential movements in light of recent security developments in the country.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat, in a statement, also urged Malaysians in Yemen to remain in safe locations, avoid areas of potential risk and adhere to instructions issued by the local authorities.

"As a precautionary measure, Malaysians are also encouraged to ensure that their travel documents, essential supplies and important contact details are readily accessible," it said.

The embassy also encouraged Malaysians in Yemen to maintain regular contact with the embassy and to register or update their particulars through the e-Konsular portal at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my to facilitate communication and the provision of consular assistance.

Those requiring consular assistance may contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat at +968 7159 2388 or via email at mwmuscat@kln.gov.my.
