Halle Berry, Regina King, Celine Song, Meg Ryan Set to Take Part in Tribeca and Chanel’s Through Her Lens Women’s Filmmaker Program

Halle Berry, Regina King, Celine Song and Meg Ryan are among the stars set to participate in the 2026 edition of Tribeca Enterprises and Chanel‘s Through Her Lens Women’s Filmmaker Program.

Berry, King and Ryan will serve as jurors for the 11th edition of the artist development initiative, set to run from Sept. 22-24, with Oscar-winning Sinners cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw and actress Ella Rubin also joining the jury.

Tribeca and Chanel have also revealed this year’s mentors and conversation leaders.

Song will serve as a mentor alongside Gina Prince-Bythewood, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Is God Is‘ Aleshea Harris and actress Fala Chen.

This year’s conversation leaders are H.E.R., Patty Jenkins, Oscar-winning casting director Cassandra Kulukundis, Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning composer Laura Karpman and Oscar-nominated costume designer Miyako Bellizzi and producer Riva Marker.

Founded in 2015 by Tribeca and Chanel, Through Her Lens provides U.S. based women and non-binary filmmakers with funding, creative support and hands-on development opportunities. The three-day program sees participants take part in mentor-led sessions covering such topics as script development, directing, music composition and costume design before delivering their live pitch to the jury. One team is awarded full financing to make their short film with support from Tribeca Studios, with four additional teams receiving development grants.

Over the past 11 years, 50 short films have been developed through the Through Her Lens workshop, with 10 fully-funded winning films. Through Her Lens projects have premiered at major festivals like Sundance and the Toronto Film Festival and have secured distribution through HBO Max, Searchlight, Criterion and other platforms.

The Through Her Lens advisory committee, established in 2023, includes Karpman, Jenkins, Jane Rosenthal, Lucy Liu, Tessa Thompson, Olivia Wilde, Jane Fonda, A.V. Rockwell, Kerry Washington and Teyana Taylor.
