Rui Jie–Nurqayyum win Asian Games diving bronze
KUALA LUMPUR: Yong Rui Jie and Nurqayyum Nazim Nazmi lifted the Malaysian diving camp's spirits by winning bronze in the men's 3m synchronised springboard at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Saturday.
The 20-year-olds scored 345.81 points at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, matching the bronze medal won by Syafiq Puteh and Ooi Tze Liang at Hangzhou 2022.
China's Wang Zong Yuan–Zheng Jiu Yuan took gold with 465.87 points, ahead of Japan's Senri Ikuma–Suyama Haruki, who scored 355.56.
Earlier, Pandelela Rinong and Nur Eilisha Rania Abrar Raj finished fourth in the women's 10m synchronised platform.
