「Gemini 4 Argon」を正式リリース、Claude Fable 5.1やGPT-6 Astraと同等性能で久しぶりにGoogleがAIトップ競争に追いつく

第三者機関のArtificial AnalysisもGemini 4 Argonの評価を実施しており、複数のベンチマーク結果をもとにAIの総合性能を算出する「Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v4.3.2」では「53」というスコアを記録しました。これはAnthropicのClaude Fable 5.1やOpenAIのGPT-6 Astraと並ぶ値です。

AIサービスを展開するBoxもGemini 4 Argonのテスト結果を公開しており、「データ分析」「ライフサイエンス」「ヘルスケア」「法務」「エディアおよびエンタテインメント」のいずれの分野でもGemini 3.1 Proと比べて大幅に高い性能を示したことが報告されています。

Google社内ではすでにGemini 4 Argonが製品開発に活用されています。例えば、Chromeのコードベースに含まれる600万行のウェブページ処理コードをリファクタリングしてクラッシュを減らすことに成功しています。この作業には従来は数カ月を要しましたが、Gemini 4 Argonを用いることで数週間で完了したそうです。

Gemini 4 Argonはロボット開発でも活用されており、「目的の動作を示す動画を入力して、シミュレーションを構築し、実機に展開する」というパイプラインを作成したとのこと。このパイプラインによって手動では数週間かかっていたシミュレーションが数時間に短縮されました。
