Lover confronts partner after spotting him with another woman; dragged on car bonnet

A woman was struck by a car and carried on its bonnet after a dispute.

LUCKNOW: In a horrific incident near Janeshwar Mishra Park, a woman was struck by a car and carried on its bonnet for some distance following a dispute. A video showing the incident has also gone viral on social media.According to preliminary police information, the victim woman saw her partner with another woman and tried to stop the car. During the ensuing dispute, the driver accelerated, hitting the woman and carrying her on the bonnet as the vehicle continued moving.The incident took a more serious turn after the woman came off the bonnet. The car was driven towards her again, prompting concerns that the driver was attempting to run her over.

The driver subsequently fled the spot.The injured woman was surrounded by people who gathered at the scene, following which police were informed. The woman was injured in the incident.Police have launched an investigation. Teams are examining the viral video and other available evidence to establish the sequence of events and identify the accused driver.
