Translate

Brazil defender Andreyna has warned that her side must be at their best to overcome Nigeria’s Flamingos in the semi-final of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The two teams will face off on Wednesday night at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, Pitch 3, in Rabat, with a place in the final at stake.

Rilany Silva’s side are determined to win the tournament for the first time in their history but must first navigate a challenging test against an ambitious Nigerian team.

Brazil are also yet to taste defeat in Morocco, having demonstrated resilience in their victories over China PR and Poland.

Andreyna Ready For Flamingos Showdown

However, Andreyna expects the Flamingos to pose a difficult challenge, insisting that discipline and execution will be crucial in determining the outcome of the encounter.

“I expect a very tough match,” the centre-back told FIFA.

“Not just because it’s against Nigeria, but because it’s a World Cup semi-final. The team that makes the fewest mistakes and executes their game plan the best will win this one.

“I believe our success so far stems from our collective effort – especially our mental strength, which has grown throughout the tournament. Day in and day out, we’ve shown a drive to overcome every challenge that comes our way.”
