Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to return to the Portugal national team during the November international break, according to Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) president Pedro Proença.

Proença expressed confidence that the legendary forward could rejoin the squad, revealing that the federation, coaching staff and players are all in agreement about wanting him back.

As reported by football transfer expert on X on Saturday, Proenca was quoted as saying, “The Federation, the coach, all the teammates are aligned: we want Cristiano back. I expect him back already during the November international break,” Proença said.

The FPF president also indicated that Ronaldo is willing to return, raising hopes that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could soon be back in Portugal colours.

“Cristiano is also willing to return. He’s the best of all time,” Proença added.

Ronaldo’s potential return would be a major boost for Portugal as the national team prepares for its upcoming international fixtures.

The Al-Nassr captain remains one of the most influential figures in Portuguese football, having enjoyed a remarkable international career spanning more than two decades.

Although Proença’s comments point towards a possible comeback in November, Ronaldo’s return will ultimately depend on the final squad selection and any outstanding matters being resolved.

For now, Portugal supporters will be watching closely to see whether their captain makes his anticipated return to the national team during the next international break.
