As per a Bollywood Hungama report, ‘VIBE’ received its CBFC certification today with an ‘A’ rating. The CBFC website lists the film’s runtime at 145.55 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 25 minutes and 55 seconds. The certification comes just days before the film’s scheduled theatrical release, with Kunal Kemmu set to return to the director’s chair after his debut directorial, Madgaon Express.

Directed by and starring Kunal Kemmu, ‘VIBE’ features an ensemble cast comprising Preity G Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Vanshika Dhir, Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) and Yashpal Sharma in key roles.The film marks another major project for Preity G Zinta following her return to the big screen. It is her second project since her comeback after Batwara 1947, which released last month and also received an ‘A’ certificate.

Kunal Kemmu on plans to build a cinematic universe

Kunal Kemmu has also previously spoken about the possibility of connecting his films and developing a larger cinematic universe. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor-filmmaker was asked whether he was deliberately creating links between his projects.

“In my head, a lot of plans are happening. But plans that get executed are the ones you take credit for. That is, if it eventually happens. I don't want to jinx anything, but I have certain ideas in my head. If I see a direction for them, I can always mould them,” Kunal said.His comments have sparked curiosity among fans about whether VIBE could eventually connect with his other directorial work or become part of a larger storytelling universe.

‘VIBE’ follows two clueless best friends, Hardik and Bugs, who accidentally stumble upon a dangerous terrorist plot.
