Emmerdale's Bradley Johnson announces happy wedding news ahead of dramatic soap exit

Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson has announced some happy wedding news over the weekend: he's officially tied the knot!

The actor, who has been playing Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap since 2019, shared the announcement in an Instagram post, where he and now-wife Sammie showed off their certificate while sitting on a swinging bench.

"Eloped to Nashville. Married the love of my life," he wrote in the caption.

The couple started dating in 2021, announced their engagement in 2023, and welcomed a baby boy named Albie back in 2024.

Plenty of Bradley's Emmerdale co-stars sent messages of congratulations in the comments, with Joe-Warren Plant simply posting a heart emoji.

"Love love love love and more love coming your way!!! CONGRATULATIONS," wrote Badley's on-screen mum Lisa Riley. "Many years of happiness. Love from Me and your Uncle AL."

"Congrats," wrote Jay Kontzle, "brilliant this mate! Wishing you and your family the very best x"

"So happy for you both!! Congratulations," wrote Amelia Flanagan, while Laura Norton said: "Congratulations to you lovely human being."

Bradley Riches, who plays Vinny's other half Lewis Barton, wrote: "MY FAVS I LOVE U SO MUCH."

Speaking of Lewis, the soap has Vinny contemplate proposing to him, backed up by dad Kev.

However, upcoming scenes will actually see an impatient Lewis pop the question and unfortunately, Vinny will recoil due to his guilt over being responsible for the accident that led to Jimmy King and Dawn Fletcher's tragic deaths.

We know that Vinny will be departing in a few weeks, and it looks like everything going on at the moment is building up his exit from the village. But will the soap throw in a last-minute death twist for the fan-favourite?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
