As she asks at reception for his whereabouts, officer Jess Heywood overhears and comes over to talk to Summer.
"[Marco's] fine. In fact, there's barely a scratch on him," Jess explains, much to Summer's confusion.
When asked what her relationship is with Marco, and how long she's been seeing him, Summer states that she doesn't think it's any of the officer's business.
To which the officer replies: "Well, when your boyfriend decides to play getaway driver, it becomes my business."

Further spoilers from next week reveal that Marco is denied bail due to the seriousness of the crime.
Asha Alahan, Todd Grimshaw and Alya Nazir tell Summer that Marco is a loser and not someone that she should bother with, but she pushes back, insisting that he must be innocent.
"A few days later Summer receives a visiting order from Marco," reveals our soap scoop spy. "Todd is deeply concerned, but Summer insists on going to see him to hear his side of the story. Not wanting to push her away by disagreeing with her, Todd reluctantly offers to give her a lift…"
Will Summer listen to reason, and continued to be wooed by Marco's words? And if he sticks around, what other trouble could he get himself into?
Meanwhile, Todd actor Gareth Pierce said that his character and James Bailey will continue to form a solid friendship, but even he didn't know if it would get romantic or not.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
