Political Differences Must Not Undermine Peace and Unity
Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration Dr. Raymond Omollo commended residents, local leaders and security agencies in Bahati and the wider Nakuru County for maintaining peace and cooperation among communities from different parts of the country. He urged Kenyans to protect the unity built over the years, emphasizing that political differences must not trigger violence, displacement or destruction of property.
PS Omollo warned young people against being manipulated by politicians into gang violence, intimidation or disrupting public order, stressing that leaders have a responsibility to safeguard peace and stability. He reaffirmed that every law-abiding Kenyan has a constitutional right to live, work and own property anywhere in the country without fear, intimidation or interruption.
Bahati MP Mrembo Njoki called on residents to maintain political stability and protect ongoing development projects, citing collaboration with President William Ruto in delivering clean water and other community initiatives. She urged continued cooperation to safeguard these development gains, as political competition must not undermine peace or disrupt efforts to improve residents’ livelihoods.
