Four people were injured in a drive-by shooting at Loganholme, south of Brisbane, on Saturday evening, prompting a huge police response in the area.

Police said they received reports at 8.15pm that a number of shots were fired outside a licensed boxing venue on Bryants Road where an even was being held.

“Four people have been injured and transported to hospital; their conditions are currently being assessed,” Queensland Police said in a late-night statement to the media.

Police said the vehicle involved in the shooting incident was seen leaving the scene.

“There is not believed to be any ongoing threat to the public,” they said.

Anyone with information about the shooting was being urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers. Call 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestoppersqld.com.au.
