Why go to church when you can go see a show at Rosalía’s LUX Tour?

The Spanish artist, who is currently on the Latin American leg of her LUX Tour, has delivered a deeply conceptual, carefully curated performance. Each concert includes ballet and intricately choreographed routines, as well as an art exhibition — with the dancers and singer as the main characters — filled with nods to some of history’s most iconic works of art, religious iconography and representations of Catholic and Christian symbols and emblems.

One of the Catholic Church’s best-known practices is confession, in which people reveal their sins to a priest bound by a vow of silence. Every night on Rosalía’s tour, she also has a confessional. Right before performing “La Perla,” one of the biggest hits from LUX, she invites a famous figure from the entertainment world to enter her confessional, set up onstage and in full view of the audience, to share intimate stories about their love life. According to Rosalía’s song, a “perla” is a problematic or dishonest person who cannot be trusted.

Rosalía released LUX, her fourth studio album, in November 2025, making history on the Billboard charts as the first artist to simultaneously score No. 1 debuts across five album charts: Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover Albums and World Albums. 

The artist kicked off her tour in Lyon, France, on March 16. During stops in Paris, London, Madrid and Barcelona, she welcomed famous faces — including Lola Young, Aitana and Cara Delevingne — into her confessional. All of the other concerts have featured celebrities and friends who have joined her in the confessional.

After rescheduling the Florida concert dates of the U.S. leg of the tour, which was set to begin in Miami, the “Motomami” singer gave her first performance in Boston on June 11. She has completed 10 of the 13 planned stops in North America, where several artists have joined her and made controversial revelations.

• Yeri Mua

  • City: Guadalajara, Mexico
  • Date: Aug. 15

  The Mexican influencer and artist joined the Spanish singer during her first night in Mexico. In the confessional, Yeri Mua said she began her career in the music industry after falling in love with a man she described as a “chacal,” a slang term for a rough, streetwise young man with a rugged appearance. Although he taught her how to sing, she said he “liked having several chapels, not just the cathedral,” meaning he preferred dating several women at the same time. Yeri admitted that she also kept her options open. When Rosalía asked how she discovered his infidelity, Yeri replied: “He found things on my phone, and then I checked his phone and found three times as much.”

• Pabllo Vittar

  • City: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
  • Date: Aug. 11

  Singer Pabllo Vittar joined the confessional in Rio de Janeiro during Rosalía’s first stop in Brazil. She spoke about a romantic encounter she had before becoming famous, with a member of a rock band who was somewhat older than her. She confessed that she fell in love and experienced an intense, uncertain relationship with the person, whose identity remains unknown.

  Sena joined the confessional during the first night of Rosalía’s LUX Tour in Brazil. She spoke about a man she dated when she was in her early 20s, who initially refused to take the relationship seriously. Although Sena considered him her boyfriend, he said he did not want to put a label on what they had. “I thought, ‘But we’re so in love!’” she recalled. Several months passed, and when they finally became an exclusive couple, he suggested opening up the relationship. Sena said she took the arrangement very seriously and began dating a different man every week.

  Taichu spoke openly in Rosalía’s confessional about an ex who brought another woman to his home while she was traveling. The singer said she had left a man who was “a gem” for someone she described as a problematic guy who kept her distracted. While she was dating him, she asked whether she could stay at his house and look after his cat during her trip. When she returned, she found a thong in the house. He convinced her it belonged to a friend’s girlfriend, who had left it behind after spending the night there. Later, Taichu discovered the truth at a nail salon, when her manicurist mentioned a woman who claimed to know her house, closet and bed.

  La Joaqui spoke about what is presumed to have been her recent breakup with Argentine singer Luck Ra, although she did not mention any names. The artist confessed to being an avid collector of pearls and to having experienced abandonment, infidelity and moments of vulnerability in which she failed to stand up for herself. She then referred to the man she was discussing as her “Prince Charming” and said that, during a seven-day trip they took together, she even thought he would propose. However, she concluded: “I understood that I was my own pearl, because every time I choose someone, I stop choosing myself.”

  The Argentine singer was Rosalía’s guest on Aug. 2, during one of her concerts in Buenos Aires. The confessional became a moment of self-criticism for Espósito, who said she would “talk badly about herself” rather than criticize an ex. She then recounted taking a Spanish man to a luxury hotel for a date and accidentally starting a fire after lighting a joint. The situation became dangerous, and Lali had to run out of the room to ask for help, wearing only a tank top. In the end, Lali paid for the damages.

  The Argentine actress and singer joined Rosalía’s confessional during her first concert in Buenos Aires. She described a relationship with a man who kept her on the sidelines of his social life and excluded her from gatherings with friends, parties and other events. Instead, he preferred to see her privately at his apartment. Torres said he regularly attended performances by the band Cindy Cats, but he never invited her, so she had to get her own tickets. Eventually, the group invited her to sing with them. As she looked out at the audience from the stage, she saw the man standing among the crowd, watching her.

  Princesa Alba, who was invited to Rosalía’s final concert during her four-night run in Santiago, Chile, entered the confessional to explain how she left a relationship she described as “long, difficult, toxic and very public.” Then, one night after she was single and had gone out, she realized upon returning home that she had forgotten her keys. Since her ex had the spare set, she booked a hotel room while waiting for a locksmith. In the meantime, she decided to text two potential dates: a singer and a soccer player from Colo-Colo. The athlete responded first. He arrived at the hotel with his face covered, trying to go unnoticed, and when he entered the room, he pulled her hair and ripped off her wig. Since then, she said, she has avoided dating soccer players.

  • Date: July 27

  Katteyes joined the “Motomami” singer during her third concert in Santiago, Chile, where she recounted an experience with an ex-boyfriend who lived in Miami. She said she traveled to visit him and planned to stay for a week, but upon arriving discovered that the house where he lived was not actually his. During her visit, he also became angry after checking her phone and realizing that she followed other artists. Katteyes explained that she wanted to collaborate with them, but he considered that an unjustified reason and kicked her out of the house in the early morning. He also threw her phone to stop her from leaving and cried while telling her that he loved her and was afraid of losing her. Katteyes told Rosalía that she forgave him and stayed with him for a few more months, but the relationship ultimately ended.

  The writer and influencer, known for writing about relationships and sexuality, joined Rosalía’s confessional to talk about a time she cheated on her ex-husband while they were still married, an experience she later recounted in one of her books. “If I have to confess the truth to anyone, it’s Rosalía,” she said before beginning her story. She explained that several years after getting married, she began to feel disconnected and bored, which led her to cheat on her husband with the captain of a rugby team. When he asked her out, she told herself she would not allow anything beyond a kiss. “That was the night I decided to end my marriage, because I was already starting to like anyone other than my own husband,” she added.

  Francisca Valenzuela entered Rosalía’s confessional on July 24, during one of the Spanish star’s four nights in Santiago, Chile. The singer-songwriter spoke about a brief but intense romance she had during a tour. She reconnected with a musician who was also on tour, and the romance progressed so quickly that they spent three days together. By the third day, he had written her a song, leading her to think the connection was deeper than it really was. Later, the artist invited Valenzuela to a concert, after which she saw him kissing another woman at a party. When he saw her, he approached to say hello and told her, “My love, thank you for coming,” which Rosalía considered sufficient reason to label him a “pearl.”

  The Dominican singer arrived in Bogotá for the second night of the LUX Tour on July 18. In the confessional, she recalled a period in her life when she was unemployed and struggling financially, which made it difficult for her to find a place to live. That situation led her to consider becoming a “sugar baby” to get by — but she explained that her boyfriend did not approve, even though he was in the same situation. She then confessed that the man she considered her “sugar daddy” wanted to have a threesome, so she brought a friend who was also her boyfriend’s cousin. On the night of the sexual encounter, the man was unable to perform, so the experience ultimately became an intimate moment between the singer and her friend.

  The Colombian singer was Rosalía’s guest in the confessional on July 16, during the Catalan star’s first night in Bogotá. Velásquez spoke about a casual relationship she had with a famous Colombian actor, whom she met while they were filming a series. She said the relationship ended after a celebratory event they both attended. After kissing her, the actor commented on her appearance, implying that he was with her because, for once in his life, he did not care about the other person’s physical appearance, since she was not “the most attractive.” The conversation ended on a positive note, when the singer said she refused to be with someone who did not consider her beautiful.

  Content creator and comedian Brittany Broski joined Rosalía during her concert in San Diego, where she confessed that she had dated a man from another country who still lived there. After begging him to visit her, Broski paid for all of his expenses during his stay. “We went to New York, Santa Barbara and even Disneyland. Every Uber, every coffee and every meal was paid for by me,” she said. Broski recounted that the man eventually ended the relationship. Two weeks later, she discovered that he’d had a girlfriend the entire time.

  The “Pink Pony Club” singer-songwriter joined Rosalía during her concert in Oakland on July 6. Roan took the stage and told the audience that she had flown from Missouri to take part in the Spanish singer’s “La Perla” segment, which begins with the confessional. Roan told Rosalía about a romance she experienced during the pandemic: “We kissed and it was like … I was floating. It was like, wow.” The singer later shared that what she thought was something more was actually something the other person viewed as casual and unimportant. “And that turned into a song.”

  Odessa A’zion joined Rosalía during her second concert at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Instead of sharing a personal story, the actress recounted an experience involving a friend. She said her friend’s boyfriend claimed he was traveling to Europe to “find himself,” implying that he needed time to reflect on his life. In reality, he was carrying on a romantic relationship with another woman. Rosalía called him a “pearl” and presented his behavior as an example of someone who uses the language of personal growth to deceive and cheat on a partner.

  The season 17 finalist of RuPaul’s Drag Race joined the confessional to talk about a man she met through a friend. Later that night, the friend told her, “Well, listen, you can’t be with him — because I like him.” Jewels said she was a “good girl,” and told her friend that she could have him. Then came the big twist: “The worst part is that a year has passed and he’s here with me tonight,” she told the enthusiastic audience. Jewels also revealed that she and the man eventually moved in together in Las Vegas.

  The dancer, who is a member of Houston Ballet, joined Rosalía during her concert in Houston. Watters began his confession by praising Rosalía’s dancing abilities: “You are such a beautiful ballet dancer.” He then spoke about a man he met through the dating app Grindr, and with whom he had an intimate encounter on the night of the concert. While the man was getting dressed to leave, he told Watters that he would attend Rosalía’s concert and would not bring his girlfriend. Inside the confessional, Watters clarified that the man was at the venue, although he did not know whether he was part of the crew or in the audience. He then looked at the camera and said, “The only thing I have to say is: ‘Hi.’”

  Zamudio joined Rosalía’s confessional during the latter’s stop in Chicago. She told her about someone she described as “her first everything.” Zamudio said she had a feeling that the person was cheating on her, something she eventually confirmed through Instagram, when users could still see who had liked other people’s photos. She ended the relationship, but later received several calls from an unknown number. When she finally answered, she discovered that the calls were coming from an Illinois correctional facility. “He was in prison. I felt like the universe was telling me, ‘The worst person is already out of your life,’” she told Rosalía.

  Hernández joined Rosalía on June 17 at Madison Square Garden. The Saturday Night Live comedian participated in the confessional during the Spanish singer’s second night in New York City. Onstage, the Cuban-Dominican comedian spoke about a woman for whom he confessed to committing a crime after buying two bottles of wine with a fake ID to invite her to a home-cooked dinner, since he was not yet old enough to drink legally.

  But things did not go as planned. “She told me she was on her way. Then she told me she was a little late. Then she told me she was really late … And then I drank the bottle of wine over FaceTime with my mom.”

  Rogers was Rosalía’s first guest during the U.S. leg of the LUX Tour, joining her on June 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The singer-songwriter entered the booth to talk about a date she had with a New York Times reporter. She explained that they ended up near the newspaper’s offices, kissing in one of the conference rooms. The artist later revealed that when she told a friend what had happened, the friend replied, “Oh my God, that’s my friend’s boyfriend.”

  Comedian and actor Benito Skinner, known as Benny Drama, joined Rosalía’s confessional during the singer-songwriter’s stop in Toronto. His Prime Video series Overcompensating was filmed in the city, making his appearance especially fitting. During the segment, Skinner confessed that he liked a castmate who plays his sister on the series. “Are you sure about this?” Rosalía asked him. “Motomami, I think so,” he replied. Skinner explained that the situation was complicated, because he identifies as “a bottom.” Rosalía offered him some advice before labeling him the “pearl” of the situation.

  During the second night of Rosalía’s tour in London, actress and model Cara Delevingne joined the confessional. Delevingne spoke openly about her sexuality, dating history and sexual orientation. She also spoke about her current relationship with musician Minke and said she now feels more prepared to be vulnerable and take on a submissive role without giving up her strong character.

She also spoke about a date that ended at Berghain, the nightclub that lends its name to one of the songs on Rosalía’s LUX album. He entered the confessional with what he described as “the story of the first man I was ever with.” He told Rosalía how he met the person who was also his first kiss and described a date that ended in the young man’s room at a student residence. The man said he was looking for someone with experience, but Lafuente did not have enough. Years later, after the artist became famous, the man contacted him to ask for a ticket to a concert. Lafuente responded by sending him a Ticketmaster link.

  For Rosalía’s first concert in Barcelona, comedian and actress Yolanda Ramos joined the confessional. She told an unusual story about an ex and joked that “you shouldn’t trust people who keep things on top of the wardrobe.” She also recounted that a musician boyfriend brought her a razor and a glass of water so she could shave her body hair. When he finished shaving her, she shaved herself and accidentally drank the glass of water containing all the hair.

  Portuguese soccer player Kika Nazareth joined Rosalía during the singer’s stop in Lisbon. The athlete shared a story about a love triangle in which she became involved with two other women. However, during the celebration, the woman connected with someone else: a friend of Nazareth’s with whom she had previously had a romantic relationship. While Wang was in the kitchen preparing food, the man left and took his wallet and cellphone.

She told Rosalía the man said he might cheat on her after a year; she decided to give the relationship another chance. She explained that increasingly surprising comments continued to arise, eventually bringing the relationship to an end. Although she did not mention any names, some fans interpreted her story as possibly referring to her ex-boyfriend Sebastián Yatra.

  Metrika joined Rosalía’s confessional during the singer’s second night in Madrid and recounted how she discovered that her boyfriend of two years was secretly planning to marry another woman. She realized this while he was away participating in an exchange program known as Erasmus. The artist had access to his accounts and, while he was traveling, saw messages addressed to the owner of the place where he was staying. In them, he referred to the other woman as his fiancée and discussed plans for their wedding. After confronting him, he asked why she had checked his email. Metrika said she was devastated and still loved him. The story took an unexpected turn when she became involved with the other woman, giving new meaning to the words betrayal and revenge.

  The Spanish YouTuber, also known as Soy una Pringada, entered the confessional to share a story about a man who exhibited unpredictable behavior in their relationship. She said he pressured her to take a fertility test and asked her to engage in an intimate act with him. Although he repeatedly told her that she was the love of his life, he eventually said he saw her only as a friend, leaving Esty frustrated and confused.

  The actress and model told Rosalía about a disastrous experience with an actor boyfriend who accompanied her to an audition for a film. Although she was not offered the role, the filmmakers wanted him — whom she did not consider talented — because of his looks. When they called her asking for his contact information, Topuria jokingly replied that the actor could no longer work because he had fallen off a balcony.

  Elias Medini, known on social media as Lyas for his fashion-related content, joined Rosalía as the first famous guest during the artist’s second night in Paris.
