Brazil opened the scoring against India courtesy a goal from Estevao Willian in their international friendly at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Saturday.
In the 28th minute, the Chelsea winger cut in from the right before rifling a low drilled shot, which Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu failed to keep out.
This was the 19-year-old Estevao’s sixth goal in national colours. His dribbling and skills have drawn comparisons with legends of the game, including Lionel Messi and Neymar, while the teenager is also nicknamed Messinho.
Estevao, Brazil’s next-big attacking hope, was slated to feature in the FIFA World Cup this summer, but a serious hamstring injury in April ruled him out of contention.
