The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended for 90 days the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider who allegedly committed a hit-and-run involving television host Cianne Dominguez in Antipolo City.
The suspension came after the LTO issued a show-cause order against the motorcycle rider, who was summoned to appear before the agency’s Intelligence and Investigation Division on October 9.
The LTO said the motorcycle rider may face charges for reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver in case of an accident. He may also be charged with allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.
The motorcycle involved in the incident was also placed under alarm while the investigation is ongoing.
The incident involved Dominguez, a host of It’s Showtime, who was driving in Antipolo City when the incident occurred.
According to a report, Dominguez had slowed down to give way to a tricycle when she heard a loud thud from behind her car. She then saw a motorcycle speeding away.
The face of the motorcycle rider and his passenger, as well as the motorcycle’s plate number, were captured on camera.
The LTO said it is continuing its investigation into the incident. — MCG, GMA News
