ILIGAN CITY — The Iligan City government, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Region 10 (DILG-10), and the Iligan City People’s Council (ICPC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Civil Society Organization (CSO) Academy here, a pilot program aimed at strengthening CSOs in local governance.

Mayor Frederick Siao, DILG City Director Maria Maida Daniot, representing DILG-10 Regional Director Bruce A. Colao, and ICPC Chairperson Abelardo A. Moya signed the agreement on Monday, October 5.

The CSO Academy will provide training and capacity-building programs in local governance, technical writing, project development and management, financial management, and policy engagement.
