Looksmaxxing Influencer Clavicular Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charge

Translate

“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular, the rising social media influencer known for promoting an internet subculture focused on maximizing physical attractiveness, has pleaded not guilty raping an underage girl after she was given alcohol while appearing on his livestream in 2025.

Clavicular, the 20-year-old whose real name is Braden Peters, entered the plea on Thursday at a brief arraignment in Massachusetts.

In September, he was charged with two felony counts, one for rape and another for drugging a person for sexual intercourse. He also faces a misdemeanor count for providing alcohol to someone younger than 21.

Peters has denied the allegations, saying that the encounter was consensual. He has posted a video to his social media counts showing screenshots of a text conversation and a photo of a handwritten letter, which were intercut over footage of Peters, shirtless and fixing his hair at an urban inner harbor. Beneath the posts, he’s written, “Theres better ways to make money then suing someone because they don’t want you;” “Interesting…; ” “Greed is a sin;” and “Yeah still texting me to this day… totally not just trying to be greedy and get a check.”

After the arraignment, Peters immediately posted bail, which was set at $10,000, according to a report from The New York Times. He arrived at the courthouse wearing a dark suit and tie with glasses alongside a dog that barked at reporters, per the story, which noted that Peters agreed to surrender his passport, stay away from the accuser and refrain from posting about her online.

The timeline of the accusations appear to match a civil lawsuit filed in April against Peters. In that case, the plaintiff accused him of having sex with her while she was intoxicated. She also claimed her injected her with Aqualyx, a fat-dissolving substance not approved by the FDA, during a livestream in 2025 without her consent.

“Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,” Peters wrote in an X post after he was sued. He added in a separate post, “Lmao was literally trying to work at Bacara as a bottle girl… how about dont finance cars you cant afford. Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.”

If convicted in the criminal case, Peters faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on the rape charge.
