Robert Kelker-Kelly, ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘General Hospital’ Star, Dies at 62
Robert Kelker-Kelly, a soap opera star best known for his roles on Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and Another World, died on Oct. 3. He was 62.
The St. Peters Police Department told TMZ that officers responded to Kelker-Kelly’s home in Missouri for a report of an unconscious man who was not breathing after complaining of chest pain. At the scene, authorities reportedly attempted life-saving measures, but they were unsuccessful.
His cause of death wasn’t immediately available.
Born on April 18, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, Kelker-Kelly made his acting debut in 1987 playing Sam Fowler in Another World. After departing the role in 1990, he returned to the soap opera in 1996 with a new role as Dr. Shane Roberts, also known as Bobby Reno. Overall, he appeared in more than 400 episodes of Another World.
Kelker-Kelly’s soap opera career continued on Days of Our Lives, when he took on the role of Bo Brady, a bad boy turned police hero, from 1992 to 1995. He succeeded Peter Reckell, who originated the role in 1983.
He also played aristocratic villain Stavros Cassadine on Port Charles and General Hospital from 1997 to 2003. He reprised the character on General Hospital from 2013 to 2014, his final on-screen role, per IMDb.com.
In 1995, Kelker-Kelly won the Hottest Soap Couple award at the Soap Opera Digest Awards, alongside Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed on Days. Decades later, in her 2026 memoir, Rinna opened up about her relationship with Kelker-Kelly, accusing him of being verbally abusive and manipulative toward her during their time working together, People reported.
Kelker-Kelly’s other credits included Jack’s Place, Touched by an Angel, Maybe This Time and Rescue 77. He also won outstanding lead actor at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in 1994 for his role on Days.
In addition to acting, he was also a professional pilot.
Kelker-Kelly was previously married to Linda Rattner until they divorced in 1992. He later married Miriam Parrish in 1997, but they divorced in 2013.
