Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Production is pausing on the Warner Bros and DC Studios pic The Batman Part II due to director Matt Reeves stepping away for personal reasons.

The studio on Monday released a statement on the matter. “Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter,” it said. “Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

Prior to the pause, filming had been underway in London. The film is set to bow on February 18, 2028. Sources say it is too early to say whether the stoppage will have an effect on the release date.

The cast has Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell returning respectively as Batman, Alfred and Penguin, with new additions Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jayme Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Sebastian Koch.
