KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 — A total of RM350,000 has been allocated for road upgrading works at Pangsapuri Kos Rendah Bandar Tasik Selatan here under the 2026 Projek Mesra Rakyat initiative.

Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said repair works on the lifts at the apartments would also be carried out soon to ensure residents’ comfort.

“Once upgraded, please take good care of these facilities. We must work together to develop and maintain them so that our children and grandchildren can also enjoy the benefits,” she said while officiating the Bandar Tun Razak Parliamentary Constituency Kenduri Rakyat Madani 2026 programme here today.

At the same event, the Prime Minister’s wife also launched a RM72,000 Flexi EV charging station comprising four electric vehicle charging units at the apartment complex.

She said the project was implemented in collaboration with the apartment’s management corporation, Leading Innovative Technologies & Systems Sdn Bhd and Pro Parking Sdn Bhd.

Dr Wan Azizah said the initiative demonstrated how collaboration among the community, management bodies and the private sector could deliver better facilities for residents.

She also urged residents to make full use of the available facilities and services while working together to address community issues.

Dr Wan Azizah also presented Ember AI tuition sponsorships to 10 Form Five students who will sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination this year.

She also stressed the need to ensure children receive adequate nutrition to support their growth, particularly amid the challenges of urban living.

The Special Kenduri Rakyat Madani satellite programme aims to foster closer ties between leaders, government agencies and the local community while bringing government information and services closer to the people.

More than 1,000 local residents attended the programme organised by the Information Department, which featured Jualan Rahmah and Jualan Agro Madani, as well as health check-ups, mammogram services and anaemia screenings. — Bernama
