'Ramayana' officially titled ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’

The makers of 'Ramayana' have officially announced the title of the much-awaited epic, with the first instalment will be 'Ramayana: Rise of a Legend'.The announcement came with a poster unveiled on the occasion of lead actor Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday.

The poster features the same visuals of Ranbir as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana, accompanied by the tagline, “Mankind’s greatest story comes to life.

” It also makes the a prominent note highlighting the film’s visual artists as being “from the visual artists who brought you The Odyssey and Dune.”The poster also teases that the film, which is gearing up for an IMAX release, will have 'the most immersive 3D cinematic experience ever.'While the poster visuals had been seen earlier, this latest version introduces the film’s official title for the first time. Until now, the project had largely been referred to as Ramayana: Part 1, with the makers yet to formally announce its subtitle.Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “From the visual artists behind The Odyssey and Dune comes RAMAYANA: RISE OF A LEGEND - the most immersive 3D cinematic experience ever - exclusively in theatres, in IMAX and Premium Large Formats worldwide November 6.”

The newly unveiled poster retains the previously revealed artwork, featuring Ranbir’s Ram, coming face to face with figure against a spectacular cosmic backdrop.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, 'Ramayana: Rise of a Legend' stars Ranbir as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Yash as the villain Ravana. The film has been mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the epic.The first instalment is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 6, releasing in Hindi and English, with the makers promising an immersive 3D experience across IMAX and premium large-format screens.
