Translate

The IDF, in coordination with Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), killed the commander of Hamas's Jabaliya Battalion in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday night, the military announced on Tuesday.

The terrorist, identified as Ahmad Batash, was responsible for managing logistics for the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades Northern Gaza Brigade and was an integral part of supplying weapons and equipment to Hamas terrorists in the region.

He was actively working to "restore the terrorist organization's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire," the military said.

Counterterrorism operations continue in Gaza

Batash recently led attacks on IDF troops and Israeli civilians, according to the military

Batash's killing is a continuation of IDF and Shin Bet counterterrorism operations across the Gaza Strip.

This marks at least the fifth terrorist serving in command and force-building positions killed this week.

At least four Hamas commanders were killed on Monday, with one top commander from Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade, killed in an overnight strike.
