State assembly will not be allowed to dissolve, says Negeri Sembilan MB

The Negeri Sembilan state assembly will not be allowed to dissolve, said menteri besar Ismail Lasim, after the new meeting, originally scheduled to begin in mid-October, was called off.
Ismail said the state government is only waiting for the official date to be set for the next assembly meeting, now rescheduled to begin on Nov 26.
“Preparations for the (state’s 2027) budget are all in place. We have also finalised it and are only waiting for the date to hold the state assembly meeting
“We will do our best to ensure that it is held as scheduled. There is no question of the state assembly being dissolved.
“Insya-Allah, as the head of the state government, I will not allow the state assembly to be dissolved,” Bernama quoted him as saying after attending a Deepavali open house hosted by special adviser on Indian community affairs VS Mogan in Seremban today.
Following its postponement in October, the state government said it plans to begin the next assembly meeting on Nov 26, followed by the tabling of the 2027 budget on Nov 27.
On Tuesday, Ismail declined to comment on whether they would proceed as scheduled, saying both events would take place “if God permits it”.
“Insya-Allah,” he was quoted as saying briefly in Seremban by Sinar Harian.
Asked whether there would be any complications if the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, did not consent to the dates, Ismail again declined to comment.
