Netflix has just added a new heist thriller that is "full of twists and intrigue". Spanish movie Collision Course focuses on an initially "flawless heist in the very heart of Madrid" that is "thrown into chaos by a brutal car accident".

"Following that collision, the ultimate dilemma arises: the very police officers who carried out the heist are now in charge of investigating it," the synopsis adds. "A plot in which loyalties are shattered and the whole truth is called into question."

Netflix has further teased Collision Course as "a puzzle full of twists and intrigue" and "a thriller in which no one is quite who they appear to be".

The film comes from director and co-writer Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, and stars Laia Costa, Karra Elejalde, Luis Zahera, Tamar Novas, Álvaro Cervantes and Lluís Homar.

Speaking about the project, Arévalo recalled a conversation he had with co-writer Ramón Campos, sharing with Netflix: "'Do you fancy changing genre?' Ramón asked me. I didn’t hesitate for a second before giving him an emphatic yes.

"I was really keen to step outside my world and explore stories that didn’t originate in my own head. When Ramón told me the story, I felt that it wasn’t just the perfect vehicle – it was the perfect rollercoaster to take the audience on and try to give them an experience packed with action, suspense, intrigue, bewilderment, twists and pure fun.
